What is a Content Management System?

A Content Management System or 'CMS' is software which is installed onto your website hosting account, it allows you to access each page on your website and enables you edit the content i.e. change text, update image galleries, add a news article etc...The main benefit of having a CMS plugged into your website is that you do not need to be knowledgeable in html or any other web coding language in order to keep your website content updated. Our CMS interface is very intuitive, the main text editor interface is similar to that of Microsoft Word so anyone familiar with this or any other desktop publishing software will have no problem in using a Nicecube designed CMS!

Can a CMS be added to my existing website? *

Yes, a CMS can be added to most existing websites. We can take the content from your existing website and import it into the new CMS. Once its imported you will be able to edit it as you please.

* Your website hosting package may need to be upgraded as a CMS needs to connect and feed from a database.

CMS v Website maintenance contract?

The deciding factor as to which to choose depends on how often you intend to update your website, if your website content is static and will not change that often you may be better off aquiring a website maintenance contract or paying for any website changes on a per edit basis. However, if you want to keep your website content updated more frequently you are much better off getting a customised CMS integrated with your website.
