Overview:
Cúram provides training, consultancy and practical resources for schools and education professionals throughout Ireland. As part of the launch of the updated Year Heads Making a Difference handbook, Cúram wanted to move from traditional book sales to a fully digital publication that could be purchased and accessed online.
The challenge was to create a straightforward purchasing experience for both individual users and schools buying multiple licences, while automating access to the digital publication.
Project Summary:
Nicecube developed a bespoke online sales and licence management system using WooCommerce, integrated with the Heyzine digital publishing platform.
Customers can purchase a single licence or select multiple licences for staff within a school. For multiple purchases, the checkout process collects the email address of each person who requires access. Quantity-based pricing is calculated automatically, with reduced pricing applied to larger orders.
Once payment has been successfully completed, the website communicates directly with Heyzine to create the required user accounts and automatically sends individual access details to each licence holder.
The system was developed around Cúram’s existing WordPress website, providing a seamless extension of the existing site rather than introducing a separate sales platform.
Result:
Cúram now has a purpose-built digital publishing and sales system that handles the complete process from purchase through to delivery of access.
What was previously a manually distributed publication can now be sold directly through the Cúram website, with individual and multi-user purchases handled automatically.
The solution also provides a flexible foundation for future digital publications, allowing additional products and different purchasing or access models to be introduced as Cúram’s online resources expand.
