Overview:
Clonmel Junction Arts Festival is an annual ten-day multidisciplinary arts festival held in Clonmel, County Tipperary. Connecting artists and audiences since 2001, the festival has become one of Ireland’s leading regional arts festivals, showcasing local, national and international talent across music, theatre, visual arts and performance.
Nicecube Design was commissioned to create a modern WordPress website to showcase the festival programme, simplify event management, and provide visitors with an easy way to discover events and purchase tickets online.
Project Summary:
We designed and developed a bespoke WordPress website tailored to the needs of a busy festival team. The website combines an engaging visitor experience with a flexible content management system, allowing organisers to update performances, venues, event dates and booking information quickly and efficiently.
Using Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), we created a custom event management system that enables staff to maintain the festival programme without requiring technical knowledge.
Online ticket sales were integrated using Ecwid, providing visitors with a secure and straightforward booking experience. To support festival management, we also connected Ecwid with Google Sheets using Zapier, giving organisers real-time visibility of ticket sales across all events.
To ensure a smooth handover, we delivered a series of recorded Zoom training sessions, enabling staff to manage the website themselves confidently. Ongoing technical support remained available throughout the festival period, ensuring any updates or issues could be addressed quickly.
Result:
The finished website provides an engaging platform where visitors can browse the festival programme, learn more about performers and venues, and purchase tickets with ease.
Behind the scenes, organisers benefit from a streamlined content management system, integrated ticket sales and live reporting, providing a sustainable digital platform that can continue to support the festival year after year.
