Overview:
As part of the Cashel Arts Festival, a series of custom illustrations was created to represent key venue locations across the town. These visuals were used to build a clear, engaging vector-based festival map, helping visitors easily navigate between events and venues.
Project Summary:
The brief was to illustrate recognisable landmark venues in Cashel for use on a festival map. Reference images were gathered and used to hand-draw isometric illustrations. These were scanned and vectorised in good ol’ Adobe Flash, producing clean linework. Colour was applied, and assets were exported as SVG for digital use.
Result:
The final illustrations provided a consistent and visually engaging map system for the festival. The use of SVG ensured crisp rendering across devices, while the isometric style added character and clarity. The map enhanced wayfinding for visitors and contributed to a more cohesive festival identity. This project is an example of how illustration can support usability, navigation and overall user experience.
